In the CG movie "Megamind vs the Doom Syndicate," I had the privilege to work as a Surfacing Artist at 88 Pictures, contributing to the creation of various building exteriors. This project involved designing modular buildings, allowing for versatile and dynamic architectural configurations. The modular design enabled the team to switch the type of building displayed, offering control over all four sides of the walls to create numerous variations.
By texturing these modular components, I ensured that each building exterior could seamlessly integrate with different combinations, providing a cohesive and adaptable urban landscape. This modular approach significantly enhanced the visual flexibility and efficiency in the later stages of production, ensuring that the movie's environments could be tailored to fit the narrative requirements.
Working on this project not only highlighted my skills in surfacing and texturing but also demonstrated my ability to contribute to innovative solutions in a collaborative team environment. The film, released on OTT platforms, showcased these dynamic environments to a global audience.
